In the summer of 2026, ChucoTown Comedy brought a unique special event where filmmaking teams had just 48 hours to create an original short comedy mash-up film. The first '48 HR' event of its kind in the world to put comedy at center stage.

Each team received a random genre, character, prop, and line of dialogue, at our Kickoff weekend event, then raced against the clock to write, shoot, and edit their film before the deadline!​ But the twist of course is… No matter what genre each team received, their films were required to be a COMEDY aswell. Horror-comedy, action-comedy, sci-fi comedy, drama-comedy anything goes, as long as the comedy genre remained the heart of the project!

All submitted films screened at our PREMIERE event where audiences, filmmakers, judges and special guests came together to watch all films on the big screen! The night will concluded with an AWARDS CEREMONY celebrating the funniest & standout films, including the award for Outstanding Comedy Film!​
