THE COMEDY FILM CHALLENGE 2026
ChucoTown Comedy presents a unique special event where filmmaking teams have just 48 hours to create an original short comedy mash-up film.
Each team receives a random genre, character, prop, and line of dialogue, at our KICKOFF EVENT then race against the clock to write, shoot, and edit their film before the deadline!
But there’s a twist… No matter what genre your team receives, the film must also be a COMEDY. Horror-comedy, action-comedy, sci-fi comedy, drama-comedy anything goes, as long as the comedy genre remains the heart of the project!
Once the challenge is complete and submitted, all finished films will premiere at our SPECIAL PREMIERE SCREENING event where audiences, filmmakers, judges and special guests will come together to watch all films on the big screen! The night will conclude with an AWARDS CEREMONY celebrating the funniest & standout films, including awards such as top prize of Best Comedy Film 2026!
